FURZTON RELAY 2024
The perennial club favourite is back, bigger and better than ever. Once again, we’ll be opening the event to all runners so come and pit yourself against teams from other local clubs, and again we will be encouraging juniors to join in too*. As always, the relay is both a competitive event and an opportunity to team up with some running buddies and enjoy a Summer’s day on the banks of Furzton Lake. It’s all about the fun, so we are encourging teams to come in fancy dress, bring your family and friends, run, relax and enjoy the great British Summer!

Entry
To register, think of a team name and select 3 running buddies.
We require one person to enter the team of 4, who will complete the booking form for each team member.
Entry is £50 per team including mixed junior and senior runners or, £24 per junior team (all 4 must be under 18 years of age).
If you are not a member of Redway Runners you will need to create an account, but this is free – you don’t need to join the club.
*Juniors 12-18 welcome under UKA rules
Route
The race starts and finishes near the new The Italian Sul Lago, off Watling Street.
The race is 4 laps of the lake, with each being about 2.5 miles.

Reward
There will be prizes for the fastest teams: male, female and mixed, plus for the best fancy dress,. There will also be a prize for the fastest junior team.
All participants will get a commemorative gift.
Useful info
Limited Parking is available in the car park off Watling Street or more near to the Hungry Horse Pub in Shirwell Crescent. If you park in the Pub car park you will now have to pay.
Please note that the new The Italian Sul Lago restaurant will be open with outside toilets available near Race HQ.
* Note that minimum age (defined as the participant’s age on the day of the race) is 12 for juniors.
Any team with even one member over 17 will be classified as an adult team and therefore ineligible for the fastest juniors’ team category.
You can of course compete in the adult team categories with up to 3 juniors in the team.
