Paypal is used by the system to collect card payments. Some users can experience difficulties with this method of payment (Paypal are notoriously fickle in this respect). The club pays lower fees for those who sign up and pay by bank transfer which to date hasn't caused any payment issues and is a one-off payment unless the Pre-authorise future payments box is checked. Please consider this option at the checkout.
