A very warm welcome to Wenden Junior Cricket, we are very pleased to say that registration for our 2022 season is now OPEN!

If you would like to join us at Wenden Cricket Club for a great season of cricket, please register your child by completing their details below.

To successfully register your child, you will need to select the appropriate Membership Category below which is done by school year group and please ensure you complete the correct t-shirt/cricket shirt size for your child. Please note that, as a new member to our Club, a t-shirt or cricket shirt is required and are included in your membership fee along with a Wenden CC cap.

All sessions will be held at Wendens Ambo Cricket Ground, Royston Road, Wendens Ambo. Payment is via PayPal – your payment will appear on your bank statement as Pay Here Ltd, the trading name of LoveAdmin.

A summary of what we offer in each year group is immediately below:

Pre-School/Reception to Year 4 Saturday Morning (£69.00) - This is our youngest group who will have their sessions each Saturday morning from 9.00am-10.30am. The session for our pre-school/reception children will usually be a little shorter. The season includes 15 sessions from 23rd April to 30th July and each child will receive a new Wenden CC t-shirt and a cap so they all look the part each Saturday morning. Please note that Pre School children are those who are due to start Primary School in September.

Years 5 & 6 - Saturday Morning Only (£89.00) – This is for our older primary school children who will attend sessions on Saturday morning from 10.30am to 12pm. They do have the option to join us on Monday evenings as well – please refer immediately below. The season includes 15 sessions from 23rd April to 30th July and each child will receive a new Wenden CC cricket shirt and a cap so they all look the part each Saturday morning. These children will also start playing league games as part of a Wenden CC team – a small match fee may apply for these games.

Years 5 & 6 - Saturday Morning & Monday Evening (£149.00) – In addition to attending our sessions on Saturday mornings, our Year 5 & 6 children also have the option of attending sessions on Monday evening. Our Monday evening sessions are held from 5pm-6.30pm from 25th April until 1st August. This combination of Saturday morning and Monday evening sessions provides a total of 30 sessions of cricket and, as mentioned above, includes league cricket, a Wenden CC cricket shirt and cap. This provides our children with the experience of our Saturday morning sessions, which is a key part of Wenden cricket, and a taste of our Pathway to Adult Cricket which we offer our older high school age children – please refer immediately below for more information on this. Please note that if you wish to do Saturday and Monday cricket, you only need to choose this membership category.

Years 7 & 8 – Monday Evening (£119.00) – These sessions are for our high school children and are part of our Pathway to Adult Cricket. This follows our ethos of “cricket for all” and also builds on the ability for us to stretch players to be the best cricketers they can be. In these sessions, we work in partnership with Jack Heald Coaching to provide professional coaches who are qualified at Level 2 or above. These sessions will be held between 6.30pm and 8pm each Monday night, a total of 15 sessions from 25th April to 1 August. These will be great sessions for all our children which will include some streaming to ensure we offer the right standard of cricket no matter where a child may be on their cricket journey. These children will also play league cricket for a Wenden CC team – a small match fee may apply for these games.

Year 9 – Tuesday Evening (£119.00) - These sessions are for our oldest cohort of children as they continue their own Pathway to Adult Cricket and includes everything mentioned above for Years 7 & 8 plus the opportunity to play some senior cricket once they reach the right standard. These sessions will be held from 6.00pm to 7.30pm on Tuesday evenings.
